Set up integration with Tap.It
Tap.It connects directly to Favrit to give you real-time control of waste on your draft lines. This guide explains what the integration does and how to set up your taps so the numbers in your dashboard are correct.
What the integration does
Everything poured on your taps is matched against what's sold in Favrit POS. If a beer is poured without a matching sale, it's flagged as a discrepancy straight away — so you see waste as it happens, not weeks later.
By comparing what's poured against what's sold and what's registered as waste, you can work out where and why you're losing product — including how much isn't registered at all, for example from overpouring. With that overview you can close the leaks and protect your margins.
The dashboard shows, per tap: units sold, litres tapped, litres sold, litres waste in %, and loss in sales.

How to get started with Tap.It
Tap.It uses hardware that's installed on your tap lines, so getting started begins with a request to Favrit and ends with connecting the equipment in Admin.
1. Request Tap.It
Go to Admin → Company Settings → Integrations and open the Tap.It page, then click Contact me about Tap.It. Favrit will get in touch to learn about your setup.

2. Tap.It installs the equipment
We pass your setup details to Tap.It so they can install the equipment in your bar.
3. Connect the box in Favrit
Once Tap.It is installed, go to the Already have Tap.It? section on the same page, enter the serial number from the Tap.It box, and click Connect.
Have several Tap.It boxes? You only need to enter one serial number — Favrit detects the other boxes connected to your location automatically.
4. Set up your taps
With the box connected, set up your taps using the steps below so the dashboard reports correctly.
How to set up your taps
Once the integration is active, you set up each tap so Favrit knows which product is on which line. This is what makes the waste numbers in your dashboard accurate.
1. Turn on Track volume for your tap products
In the Menu builder, tick the Track volume option on each tap product. If it isn't ticked, the product won't be visible in the Tap.It integration.

2. Create a tap name
Give the tap a name, for example "Ringnes". This is the name that will appear in the dashboard, so use something you'll recognise.

3. Select the tap lines that use this product
Choose every line the product is connected to, for example Tap 1, Tap 2 and Tap 3.

4. Select the tap products in Favrit that use these tap lines
Choose all the products poured from these lines — for example the standard pour, a pitcher, a staff price and a VIP price all pull from the same lines.

Don't see your product when setting up the integration?
A product only shows up once Track volume is ticked in its settings in the Menu builder. Tick it, then come back and add the product to your tap.
5. Save changes
Your tap is now linked and will start reporting to the dashboard.
Changing the product on a tap line
When you switch a line to a different product — for example changing Tap 3 from Ringnes to Schous — deselect the line from the old product first, so the line is free to use on the new one. Then add the line to the new product.

You can also delete the old product without losing its historical data.
How name, line and product changes affect the dashboard
How a change shows up in the dashboard depends on what you change.
Renaming a tap
Renaming a tap adds a new row to the dashboard. Future data appears under the new name, while past data stays tied to the old name. Use this when you want to track the new product separately from what came before.
Changing tap lines or tap products
Changing the tap lines or the tap products updates the existing row in the dashboard. Future data continues on that same row, so the tap's history stays in one place.
