If you need printed receipts, you need an iPad and receipt printer.
Assuming you either bring your own or have bought an Apple iPad and Star Micronics MCP31L or MCP31LB receipt printer from Favrit, follow this guide to set everything up.
Setting up your iPad
New from the box, the iPad will guide you trough a set up phase. You need an Apple ID and an internet connection to set everything up. If you don't have an Apple ID, you are guided to create one.
It's a good idea to immediately update your iPad to the latest version of iPadOS (learn how at support.apple.com).
Set up your printer
- Connect the power cable with your printer. A blue light shows on the printer to let you know it's turned on.
- Put receipt paper in the printer and test with the feed button that it works.
- Continue based on your preferred connection method:
- USB cable: Connect the cable to the "iPad" labeled port on the printer, and continue to next step.
- Wi-Fi/Ethernet: Connect a Ethernet cable to the printer's Ethernet port, and continue to next step.
- Bluetooth: continue to next step.
